When you place your trust in us, you deserve complete confidence that the ashes you receive really are those of your loved one. At Pure Cremation, we’ve built a system that ensures every person in our care is treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and accuracy. This system combines technology similar to that used in hospitals with careful human oversight, so you can be assured that your loved one’s journey is monitored every step of the way.

Identification from the very start

From the moment your loved one arrives in our care, they are given a unique QR-coded wristband. This stays with them throughout their journey.

At each stage, the code is scanned and recorded in both a secure digital system and a physical record. Our team members also add their own checks and notes as part of this process. These layers of identification work together to create continuity and accuracy from the very beginning.

Safe and respectful journeys

When your loved one is brought into our care by our team, the journey is handled with professionalism and care. Our private ambulances are GPS-tracked, which means we always know their location, route and expected arrival time.

A complete and traceable record

Every action taken by our team is logged in real time. From the colleague who first brings your loved one into our care to the team member who carefully prepares the ashes for return, each step is recorded.

This creates a complete and traceable history. Multiple checks are built into the process, and no stage is completed without verification.

Careful checks at the crematorium

Before the cremation takes place, the crematorium manager carries out formal identification checks. The nameplate or label on the coffin is carefully matched against the official documentation provided by the  Registrar or Coroner.

Cremations are always carried out individually. The cremation chamber holds only one coffin at a time, and there is never any possibility of mixing or confusion.

These procedures are standard practice, but we understand that knowing this clearly can make a real difference.

Additional reassurance with a ceramic disc

For further peace of mind, each person is also given a uniquely numbered ceramic disc. This disc is placed with your loved one and remains with them throughout the cremation process.

Because the disc is specially designed to withstand the heat of cremation, it stays with the ashes and is then placed on the urn when they are prepared for return. Many families tell us this visible, physical marker offers particular reassurance during an otherwise uncertain time.

Confidence when it matters most

It’s natural to seek certainty when you’re saying goodbye to someone you love. Questions about identification are not unusual, and you should never feel hesitant about asking them.

Everything we do is designed to provide clarity, accuracy and comfort. If you would like to talk through any part of the process, we are here to explain it. At such an important moment, you deserve nothing less than complete confidence and care.
