Charlton Park Crematorium has been thoughtfully created to provide a peaceful, beautiful space for farewells, remembrance and quiet reflection. Everyone is welcome here, with our serene grounds open every day from 8am to 8pm, all year round.
Nestled in mature parkland, our state-of-the-art crematorium offers a sense of privacy and calm. Our dedicated team is here to provide truly individual care, ensuring that every farewell is personal and meaningful – a space and time to say in the way that feels right for you.
Our facilities include the spacious Ceremonial Hall for larger gatherings and The Oak Room for more intimate farewells. Whether you are hosting a full service or a simple committal, prior to cremation have a burial at Charlton Cemetery nearby.
To help you say goodbye without feeling rushed or disturbed, we ensure that only one service takes place at a time. We also allow at least 30 minutes between services, so you have time to reflect in peace.
Charlton Park Crematorium is fully accredited, with everything on a single level to welcome all visitors. And if you'd like a beloved pet to be part of the farewell, just let us know – we're here to help you create a moment that truly reflects your loved one's life.
How does our funeral cover compare?
The Ceremony Hall
This bright and welcoming hall, with high ceilings and natural finishes, creates a space that feels both special and comforting. A glazed wall opens onto a peaceful courtyard garden, while soft tones of stone, oak and upholstered seating add to the restful atmosphere.
The hall seats 86 with space for 25 more, and can be extended into the adjoining reception area through an intelligent glass partition. Two large screens, webcast facilities, and inclusive features like a hearing loop and height-adjustable lectern ensure everyone can take part in the farewell.
The Oak Room
This intimate space is perfect for farewells with up to 12 mourners, offering the same thoughtful features as the main Ceremony Hall. You’ll find comfortable seating, options for music, digital tributes, and even webcasting to include those who can’t be there in person.
The room is filled with natural light, complemented by dimmable lighting to create the right atmosphere. There are also dedicated areas to display photographs, mementoes, flowers, and light candles, allowing you to personalise the farewell in a meaningful way.
The Witness Room
Just behind the Ceremony Hall, we’ve created a unique and private space for up to 12 people to gather and prepare to witness the coffin entering the cremator chamber. Whether this is a community tradition, a faith requirement, or a personal choice, we’ve ensured the experience is both dignified and comfortable.
The room is enclosed with intelligent glass walls, which remain opaque until the witnesses are ready. At that moment, the glass becomes clear, offering a respectful view of the Cremator Hall and the coffin, placed ready on the charging platform.

Frequently asked questions
What area do you cover?
Pure Cremation Group is proud to serve the whole of England and Wales from its base at Charlton Park Crematorium in Hampshire. We serve Scotland from our office in Glasgow.
We always send our own staff to look after each client, whether that’s on our doorstep or several hundred miles away. You will be given a realistic time of arrival and all the advice you need to know that your loved one is in good hands, right from the first phone call.
Unattended cremations for clients who pass away in England or Wales will take place at Charlton Park Crematorium.
Cremations for clients who pass away in Scotland will take place at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium or The Hurlet Crematorium.
Can you take over from another funeral director?
Yes. We do this quite often.
You have the right to change your mind, even if a local funeral home has already brought your loved one into their care.
Just tell the funeral director that you want to instruct Pure Cremation to take over. Ask what they are going to charge for the care delivered so far (we can add this to our bill to keep things simple for you).
We will work with the funeral director for a smooth and professional transfer of care.
Where does the cremation take place?
Pure Cremation offers an unrivalled continuity of care, from the first phone call to the hand delivery of the ashes. If you pass away in England or Wales, then the unattended cremation will take place at Charlton Park Crematorium, in the Hampshire countryside.
Unattended cremations for people who pass away in Scotland take place at the stunning Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium or The Hurlet Crematorium.
In all cases, the cremation is performed by dedicated staff, who treat everyone with the same level of dignified, respect and care.
