Good Funeral Awards Finalist
We are delighted that our brand-new facility, Charlton Park Crematorium, is a finalist for a Good Funeral Award under the Best Crematorium of the Year category.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for us – the positive comments and reviews we’ve received highlight the outstanding care we are proud to offer the families who entrust us with their arrangements.
The winners of each category will be announced at the Good Funeral Awards event on Saturday 19th October 2019, so we will be waiting with anticipation to see if Charlton Park Crematorium is the winner – but whatever the outcome, the wonderful comments we have received since opening our doors will continue to drive us in our quest to set the highest standards in our area of specialist care.
About Charlton Park
Our Crematorium has been designed and built to create a serene and beautiful venue for family farewells, remembrance and personal reflection. The state-of-the-art building nestles in a mature parkland setting that creates a real sense of privacy and calm.
We take great pride in overseeing every step of the care given, from the very first phone call to the hand delivery or scattering of the ashes. Our many years’ experience of caring for the bereaved has informed our approach, and we are committed to give each family total peace of mind.
That’s why we are totally transparent about the care your loved one receives and use modern technology and techniques to make sure every stage can be tracked to confirm the identity of the ashes that are returned. This includes a ceramic token that stays with your loved one throughout the cremation process. It is then visually incorporated in the biodegradable ashes container so you can feel confident knowing that they are your loved one’s ashes.
For our direct cremation customers, we offer the option to attend committals at this beautiful venue at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. It’s just £200 for up to 12 people to be present for a 30-minute goodbye, usually held in the Oak Room.
So do please feel free to visit Charlton Park Crematorium whenever you are in the area, whether you have used us for a service, are considering using us in the future or would just like to take some time out to look at the gardens and listen to the wildlife. We are open every day all year round and people are welcome to visit whenever they wish. The grounds are open between 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of parking available, including disabled bays and access.
